I strive for the, "how's your day"
to mean, "how are you handling your situation,"
from people.
I strive for the, "I hope you're doing well"
to mean, "If not, how the fuck can I help you,"
from people.
Where did smiling back at each other go?
What about the, "Take a penny, leave a penny,"
where did you go?
"I had compassion once, but not when I don't get anything back."
It is because of you that we like our evenings
low key.
It is because of you that we no longer serve
tea.
